Located in Passeig de Gràcia in the architecturally stunning Eixample neighbourhood, stands Casa Batlló. This building which was designed by the city’s famed Antoni Gaudí is often referred to as the House of Bones due to its skeletal like design. The pillars and arches are quite reminiscent of human bones, while the balconies are often compared to a mask one would wear to a masquerade ball. The building’s facade is decorated using broken pieces of tiles in shades of blue, green, and ochre, which create a beautiful mosaic.
